Samantha Mizell, Director of Operations, Realtor

As Director of Operations, Samantha has been part of the team since the very beginning, nearly seven years and counting! With a background in commercial hospitality and client services, including working with Starwood during its merger with Marriott, she learned early on that no matter the industry, her favorite part of the job is simple: people.

That passion carried naturally into real estate. Whether she’s helping clients reach their real estate goals or working behind the scenes to keep C&C moving forward, Samantha loves getting to be a small part of some of life’s biggest journeys.

A Georgia girl through and through, Samantha was born and raised in Marietta and has a serious love for Atlanta and the rest of the Peach State. These days, she and her husband are primarily based in South Georgia, where his commercial beekeeping business is headquartered. They live on 23 acres with their two children, Charlotte and Easton, and three dogs—so “peace and quiet in the country” is sometimes more of an aspiration than a description. She still travels frequently to Atlanta and considers both ends of the state home.

When she isn’t working, you’ll usually find Samantha outside with her family — by the pool, taking walks, watching baseball or football, or planning their next trip. Their favorite destination is pretty much any beach, anywhere, and she and her husband have a long-term dream of owning a beachfront property of their own. Preferably one with a great porch and an iced coffee shop within reasonable driving distance, because Samantha’s commitment to iced coffee is less of a preference and more of a personality trait.

Outside of work and family, one of Samantha’s most meaningful roles is serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), where she advocates for children experiencing the foster care system and helps ensure their voices are heard as they work toward safe, permanent homes. Her love for children and passion for helping others extend into a broader belief in investing in local communities and creating strong support systems for the people who call them home.

Whether it’s real estate, family, community, or simply figuring out where to find the next iced coffee, Samantha believes life is best spent helping people, building relationships, and enjoying the journey along the way.

If the kitchen is said to be the heart of a home, then a home must be the heart of a person’s life. After all, home is where all our most precious memories are created and cultivated. It’s where we watch our children grow up, the place we host the most amazing holiday gatherings, and above all else our spot of solitude after a stressful day’s work. To help guide a person into their dream home, where they will be able to create such treasured memories, fills my soul to the brim. That is why I chose to pursue real estate.

Community Spotlight:

As some may know, my daughter was born premature and spent time in the NICU before being released to come home. In looking back, it is obvious to me that the prenatal care I received was lacking and our whole birthing experience could have been much smoother (and safer) had I received adequate care. Unfortunately, this is the story for all too many women and children... and many of their stories don't have the same positive ending as mine. March of Dimes' mission is to lead the fight for health of all moms and babies. Their goals are to end preventable maternal health risks and deaths, end preventable preterm birth and infant death, and close the health equity gap.
