Named for the biblical Greek city, this Atlanta suburb has experienced recent growth in population and development, a revitalized downtown, and is considered a safe, family friendly place to live and work. There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and parks, highly rated public and private schools, and for those who like biking and walking, you’ll find the Silver Comet Trail, the paved (former railroad) path that travels west to the Alabama state line and will soon be connected to the Atlanta Beltline. Housing here ranges from condo living to million-dollar estates. Located in Cobb County, Smyrna is close to both I-285 and I-75, and bordered by Vinings, Marietta and Mableton.
